Hi, I’m John Lunn, Senior Manager of Sales Engineering and Integration, and U.K. Developer Evangelist.
We have just announced our Charity Hack Weekend which will be a FREE 48 hour event. Full details at www.charityhack.org
Charity Hack Weekend (19-20 September 2009) will be hosted by PayPal at their Offices in South West London. It is a ticketed only event, available on a first come first serve basis – £FREE Registration.
PayPal have linked up with JustGiving, MissionFish and a number of supporting charities that are seeking to revolutionise their payment donation solutions.
Join us 19-20 September 2009 and be part of this extraordinary event, where you will get advance access and have the chance to play with a combination of APIs from many of our co sponsors.
What you will get access to on the day includes
- PayPals new Beta API’s
- JustGivings new API (available for the first time at this event)
- MissionFish’s cash giving APIs available for the first time in the UK
- Sneak Preview of other API’s
Who will attend?
Any developer who wants to build charity related applications with new APIs from JustGiving, MissionFish and PayPal.
What we hope to get from the weekend
- We not only hope to get feedback on all of our API’s but would hope that at the end of the weekend that a number of interesting apps have been born that can be used by any charity under an open source style licence.
- We will be providing Wi-Fi and power on location, but you will need to bring your own laptops, software development kits and any other tools you need.
- We will also provide food, tunes and entertainment but bring your own bedding if you plan on trying to sleep.
Early registration is advised – “Limited number of tickets available!”
