IPNs still failing after maintenance window?

I'm aware that there was a maintenance window earlier, but it's now a couple of hours after that finished and all my IPNs are still failing to validate. Anyone else seeing the same?

ah - ok i noticed they just updated the status to say the maintenance was still ongoing beyond the scheduled time... I assume this is the cause of the IPN failures.

Hi guys, We were experiencing the same problems and replaced $fp = fsockopen ('www.paypal.com', 80, $errno, $errstr, 30); by $fp = fsockopen ('ssl://www.paypal.com', 443, $errno, $errstr, 30); which seems to have done the trick.

While validating IPNs, we are getting a 301 moved permanenty status and following that URL is working fine. Is that something that will persist or is outage related?

human-age, do you have ssl enabled on your server? i tried doing this, but i just get an HTTP error instead, not very helpful. Any ideas? and PayPal, when is this problem expected to be resolved? this is causing me no end of hassle....

I'm experiencing the same problem as of 16:45 EST October 14. And no, SSL is not supported on my server.
